Providing well-rounded experiences to create community impact.
Preparations for Tomorrow was initially started in 2020 providing meals to unhoused citizens within the downtown area. Around 2023, the county started an ordinance that people could get ticketed and fined for feeding the homeless so we took a brief pause. After years of refinement, the new thought is to feed as many people skills, create opportunities for growth, and well-rounded experiences. During the summer of 2024, we gainfully employed a high school junior as an electrician’s apprentice. During the winter break of 2024, we gainfully employed a high school sophomore as an electrician’s apprentice. This summer we plan to raise funds to expand the project to 5 high schoolers as electrician’s apprentices. We also plan on funding 15 students to participate in tae kwon do during the summer. These opportunities will build discipline, work ethic, and life skills that can be expounded upon and carried into the rest of life.
